Summer ~ Sizzle of the Season

~ “O brightest day of summer’s light,
I come to honor the sun, so bright
With light of new beginnings grow,
With daylight during summer’s glow
To rise as sunlight does each day,
and offer joy on journey’s way.”

At the Summer Solstice, June 20, 2024 the Earth assumes its most direct tilt into the Sun. At the Summer Solstice the Sun at noon is in the Northern Hemisphere very nearly over Cuba orbiting the Tropic of Cancer.

Summer: Food For Thought

In general, eating light and easily digestible foods is most important. Fruits and vegetables grow and are at their greatest peak, giving us an abundance of choices for eating the right way. It is particularly important to avoid overeating especially as the summer gets later. Therefore, heavy, greasy fried foods should be avoided as they tax the heart, small intestines, stomach and spleen. Foods that are cooling in nature are what the body craves.  Eating to much cold or raw foods can injure the spleen and stomach, cause headaches, upset digestion and slow metabolism. Consider Andrew’s Full Spectrum Diet and food as medicine. Try eating these foods for Summer…
