At the Summer Solstice, Wednesday, June 21 at 12:24 a.m. EDT the Earth assumes its most direct tilt into the Sun. At the Summer Solstice the Sun at noon is in the Northern Hemisphere very nearly over Cuba orbiting the Tropic of Cancer.
