Dragon Stone

Several stones have earned the name Dragon stone, or have been called dragon or snake related names, often based on their appearance. Either “blood stains” on green (skin) colored stones (Dragon’s Blood Jasper) or stones with reptilian-like patterns (Serpentine, Septarian Stone or Snake Skin Agate), these stones have all been used for their “healing” properties.  Below you will find the distinct differences (and similarities), that associate these mystical stones!

All crystals associated with the dragon or serpent have the special qualities of empowerment. They possess both the cunning, creative way of getting around situations as well as, the approach to healing on a level that is bold and fiery. They relate the emotions of strength, courage and leadership. The dragon is the greatest symbol of power in the Chinese Horoscope and the most maligned serpent in tales of the bible. These yin/yang qualities can be found in all of us and we can relate to them on some level throughout our lives.

Snake Skin Agate

Resembling the skin of a snake in appearance, this extraordinary agate stone offers the encouragement of self-esteem and self-awareness. It has been used to initiate the upward spiral of the kundalini energy through the Chakra system. Like a snake, it surges forward, activating all energies in its path.   It is often expressed that by the action of kundalini rising, you receive a feeling of a renewed love for life.

Ohko Dragon Stone

The Ohko dragon stone, (Dragon Stone) is a rock that resembles dragon scales. Ohko stone is basically composed of hardened clay, which has been know to be very fragile, the cratered surface of the Ohko stone results in many mini-caves and nooks for anchoring moss and plants alike. These is an argillaceous rock, whose holey structure and warm tones make it an eye-catcher for your aquarium or water foutain that can give it a very natural impression.

Dragon’s Blood Calcite

This dark, rich, blood colored stone is found in Mexico’s “calcite strip” and varies from from the rusty mahogany of dried blood  to the fiery glow of burning embers. This stone is an instigator of energy and motivation. It is used on the Root Chakra and can be placed at the front door for protection or carried with you for motivation!  This fierce stone actually helps overcome fear and forces action from you. Aligned with the ability to bring about change, whether you want it or not!

This stone is used to stimulate and open the body’s meridian pathway and assists the (Qi) energy to rise effortlessly. 1 ounce dragon’s blood root (dracaena, daemonorops)
1 once myrrh (murrae)
1 ounce patchouli (pogostemon cablin)

Cleansing & Charging Dragon Stones
