Diopside

 Properties: This beautiful. deep green healing stone encourages expansion of the Heart Chakra, enhancing the power of love, commitment, trust and humility. Mental clarity results from healing layouts that include Enstatite and/or Diopside.

Diopside is recommended for public speakers, students, and surgeons. Diopside is utilized for encouraging a positive attitude in life. It has been used to help those who suffer from long term problems in their life and who have yet to find a resolution. Known to ensure a well-balanced temperament, this stone helps its owner to find a calm sense of peace and divine equilibrium.

Folk Remedies: Both stones benefit the circulatory system and cleansing organs including the heart and lungs. The green version of this stone was also recommended by the Greeks to help with kidney and bladder problems. This stone was often considered helpful with the clotting of blood and for treating deficiencies.

Crystal Cleansing: method 1 – 8

History: This stone (MgCaSi₂O₆₎  is mined in the USSR and India, as well as Japan, Germany, Ireland, and the US. Diopside is a monoclinic pyroxene mineral with composition. Diopside is found in colors such as green, black, blue, brown or white. It is also found in a star.

Historically, this stone was revered by the Greeks and therefore, name it the “double-sighted-shape” (dis-opsis-idos). In particular, the star of diopside was seen as sparkling stars, which fell from the sky and turned to stone. Hence, they retain their sparkly shimmer and a star shape can be found on the end of a polised star diopside. Diopside/Enstatite are mentioned together, as they both have the same properties.

Diopside is found in ultra mafic (Kimberlite and Peridotite) igneous rocks, and diopside-rich Augite is common in mafic rocks, such as Olivine, Basalt and Andesite. Diopside is also found in a variety of metamorphic rocks, such as in contact metamorphosed skarns developed from high silica Dolomite. It is an important mineral in the Earth’s mantle.

Diopside allows us to hold on to its crystalline  structure and re-gather or re-unite our thoughts with that place in our heart that is waiting for us to remember how special we are.

Cleansing & Charging Diopside
