About Andrew Pacholyk

A life in movement. A practice in healing. A home for discovery.

I’m Andrew Pacholyk, a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, licensed acupuncturist in New York and Florida, board-certified herbalist, author, educator, former Broadway performer, and founder of Peacefulmind.com.

My path has moved through dance, healing, and writing. Each has given me a different way to explore how we change, recover, and find meaning.

From the stage to the treatment room

I studied dance and choreography at SUNY New Paltz and received scholarships from Harkness Ballet, David Howard, Martha Graham, Steps, and American Dance Machine. I went on to perform on Broadway, as well as in tours and choreography projects.

Dance taught me to pay attention to the body: its strength, its limits, and the small signals that are easy to miss. When the physical demands of performing led me toward a new chapter, I brought that awareness into acupuncture and Chinese medicine. Today, I draw on that training in my work as a practitioner and educator.

Books, stories, and the ocean

I write across memoir, poetry, spiritual reflection, and mystery. Barefoot: A Surfer’s View of the Universe explores life through the lens of the ocean. Pearls of Light and Lead Us to a Place: Your Spiritual Journey Through Life’s Seasons explore reflection and the search for meaning. My Drew and the Detectives mystery series takes a different path, bringing performance, character, and suspense together.

Dance remains part of how I see the world, and the ocean continues to inspire my writing. As I’ve put it: “As a dancer, movement gives me joy to hold; as a writer, it gives me joy to share.”

Why I created Peacefulmind.com

I founded Peacefulmind.com in 1999 as a place to explore holistic wellness, spiritual growth, and natural living. It has grown into a resource for articles, books, courses, and tools spanning Chinese medicine, herbs, crystals, aromatherapy, meditation, and more.

My hope is that you’ll find something here that helps you pause, learn, and reconnect with what matters to you. Real stories. Deeper insights. A brighter you.
