This beautiful, handmade 950 Sterling Silver Tree of Life is a part of our Machu Picchu original collection. The PachaMama (mother earth) pendant is handmade by the wonderful Quechua artist, Mana Loo in the Peruvian Andes. It is made from natural Machu Picchu Silver” found in the area around Machu Picchu. It is also handmade with 950 Silver which is inlaid among the Spiral of Life.
The tree of life is a fundamental archetype in many of the world’s mythological, religious, and philosophical traditions. It is closely related to the concept of the sacred tree. In Peru, all of nature is sacred and spiritual, including rocks, trees, mountains, and valleys. At the top of Macchu Picchu is a tree that stands as the most famous of the Incan ruins. The famous tree in the middle of the ruins, with Huayna Picchu in the background, stands as a testament and model for the “tree of life.”
This beautifully detailed pendant features a bubble glass holding a silver painted tree. On the other side of this is a sterling silver tree, hand fastened and handmade with love. It measures one inch (1″) wide and one and one-half inches (1-1/2″) long.
This pendant is also accompanied by a beautiful .925 Sterling Silver chain which measures 20″ inches. The pendant comes with cleansing instructions, metaphysical information and an organza bag.
