Ritual Baths for Empowerment

A ritual is a set of actions, performed for their symbolic value or to reach an outcome. Brushing your teeth or eating breakfast is a ritual. We do them everyday. A ritual ritual bath or magic ceremony involving the use of water to immerse or anoint a subject's body and prepare them to be more aware, conscious and open for new opportunites. It can be used to cleanse the mind, the body, as well as embrace the spirit. Ritual baths can clear negative energies and prepare yourself for accomplishments.

My ritual baths are made with genuine ingredients obtained from historically true magical sources. My formulas are the result of my research with recipes from my mentor and teachers of metaphysical studies, ancient Chinese medicine remedies I have learned and Classical Wiccan practices. These are tried and true bathing rituals I give to my patients and now offer to anyone wishing to improve their life path.

My ritual baths work with the traditional cleansing element of water and infuses a combination of sea salt, crystals, herbs, essential oils and color, which are harmonious with the work to be done. This is a complete system, leaving no stone unturn in its approach to achieving a specific goal!

I have infused all these elements in an extra large tea bag. Simply run your bath water, state the intention provided and add the ritual tea bag to the water. Follow the instructions and enjoy your bath.

Please note: these are serious rituals that work! I have spared no expense in organizing these ancient formulas for all to take advantage of. Your true intention is an important element in the ritual and I hope you honor the process. All these rituals start with two of my mantras: "do no harm" and "be careful what you wish for". I have created over 50 rituals for empowerment. Click the Add to cart link to choose the ones you need most.

The Cardinal Directions

No matter what your tradition or location on Earth, the four cardinal directions are relevant in every culture, clan and society. Throughout history, every culture has a significant relationship with the directions, assigning them a color, emotion, season and other metaphysical meanings. Some cultures, such as the Chinese and certain Native American cultures, recognize five principal directions including North, South, East, West, and Center.

Some cultures argue whether the element of Air should be associated with either the direction of North, or East. Some choose to designate the directions with the elements based on what is naturally occurring from their vantage point. On this page, you will discover several view points. What's more important, is what YOU choose to believe.

The Spirit of the Directions

The East is honored as a source of beginnings, awareness, spiritual wisdom, and vision. With the rising of the warming sun, a greater spiritual awareness develops within us. We can feel creative wisdom growing.

The West brings conclusions, stability, physical wisdom, grounding, and goals. As the sun sets, we're left focused upon Earth. In this focus, we can feel our own bodies mingling with the mass of Earth as we understand completion and the returning cycles of life.

The North improves mental wisdom, discovery, and logic in an illuminating way. Knowledge accumulated through our lives is purified, as if a swift breeze blew away all dust and confusion. We prepare for intellectual illumination as these winds sweep into our awareness. It seems that gusts of enlightened and the intellectual processes of "knowing" blows into our lives.

The South is aligned with love, emotional wisdom, trust, faith, and empathy. We're submerged in the feeling of undulating emotions as if diving into refreshing waters. The flow of our blood moves steadily in rhythm with the waves pulsing within every other being. We're able to experience whole love and unity.

Seasons of Our Lives

The Law of Rhythm states that everything has a natural cycle. The tides go in and back out, night follows day, and life regenerates itself. We all have good times and bad times, but nothing stays the same. Change is constant. Knowing that "This too shall pass" is great wisdom about life's ebb and flow. The concept of how we understand or perceiving the world can be divided into the four quadrants of the life cycle.

Life is often depicted as a circle. When we look at a circle, we can see how it can be divided into four quadrants with the four most important points on the circumference being the points where the vertical and horizontal lines cross. The horizontal line splits the circle into two halves. The lower half of the circle represents the first half of life or our subjective unconcious orientation & objective outward growth period . After our early forties, we pass into the second half of life or upper half of the circle. This represents our objective conscious orientation & subjective, inward growth period. Beginning with consciousness and awareness othewise called intuition, feeling, sensation and thought.

Cultures organize our lives into a rhythm, cycle or seasons.

The Chinese culture looks at our seasonal growth in cycles taking place in our lives every 7 years in women and every 8 in men. Women's life cycles are dominated by the number 7 so that there are profound changes every 7 years. Men's cycles are dominated by the number 8 and there are profound changes every 8 years. The Chinese culture lives their lives within the rhythm of the five elements or phases.

In Vedic tradition, the original Indian text looked at The Chakra relating to a series of milestones in life. Each Chakra represents a time when certain skills develop and life transitions, a developmental stage of growth. Based on the Vedic text, each Chakra is likened to a milestone in life. If allowed to develop properly, it is synergistic to the growth of the human body. If there is stress or trauma during a particular time of growth, this can have an underlying affect on the relationship to a Chakra and its development. The growth overlaps within the energy centers and can be seen as a child grows into an adult. This cycle of nature with the Chakra actually renews itself every few years after its primary development stages. Want to know more?

The Ayurvedic paradigm of medicine works with the elements, dosha and seasons for better living. The "Science of Life" is considered the art of living in harmony with nature. In Ayurvedic philosophy, people, their health, and the universe are all thought to be related. It is believed that health problems can result when these relationships are out of balance. The goal of Ayurveda is to integrate and balance the body, mind, and spirit. This is believed to help prevent illness and promote wellness.

The principles of Astrology depict the grand cycle of life as the sun moves through the zodiac signs in one year's time. When we look at the cycles of the moon, we can see the waxing and waning of life on a daily basis, a monthly cycle, the seasons and the representation of a lifetime.

The Native American tradidions sometimes represent the stages of life through the Medicine Wheel, a cross within a circle that indicates the four directions of east, west, north and south. The symbolism represents east - birth, childhood; south - youth, growing up; west - aging, mature adulthood; north - wisdom, death. (In the Hopi culture, north represents birth and infancy, east - adolescence; south - young adulthood; and west - elderhood.) What is common to all versions, however, is the idea of the stages of life as a cycle, where, like the seasons, death gives rise to rebirth and a renewal of the life impulse.

In Western culture, knowing how your cycle of life advances and why your body changes with age will help you discourage alterations in cell, tissue, and organ function that slow you down. This knowledge will also help you take steps to stop the development of conditions that are more common with advancing age. The cycle of life is often looked at as young, adolesence, middle aged and elderly.

Cycles of Health

Living a holistic lifestyle is any lifestyle which makes you feel like a whole person. This includes any way of living or being that allows someone to feel as if they are being nurtured and are given the freedom to grow. For most, this would involve knowing what would make you happy and feel complete. For most people there are key areas we all want to improve; these being our health, our relationships, financial and spiritual connections, as well as our ability to create.

Our Circadian Rhythm

This is our internal daily biological clock. This clock can be influenced by many different elements, such as light and darkness, time of day and temperature. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the clock shows us how our energy cycles its course through the 12 organ meridians over a period of 24 hours, spending two hours at maximal levels in each organ In general, when treating a patient in accordance with this biorhythm, the best time to treat an excess of energy is at or shortly before the time of greatest meridian activity, while the best time to treat depleted energy is following the peak times.

Time Period / Organ
03:00-05:00am - Lungs
05:00-07:00am - Large Intestine
07:00-09:00am - Stomach
09:00-11:00am - Spleen
11:00am-1:00pm - Heart
1:00-3:00pm - Small Intestine
3:00-5:00pm - Bladder
5:00-7:00pm - Kidneys
7:00-9:00pm - Pericardium
9:00-11:00pm - TripleWarmer
11:00pm-1:00am - Gallbladder
1:00-3:00am - Liver

Seasonal Sleep

Cycles of light and dark play a huge role in our energy levels, sleep patterns and how we relate to our surroundings. Light and color therapy allow us to stay balanced through many ways including diet, meditation, light and color applications and even the clothes we wear. When we go for long periods without light energy, some of us tend to develop S.A.D. or Seasonal Affective Disorder. Sleep is one of the three components to a healthy life. Our body needs good quality rest to revive and regenerate. The amount of time you sleep affects calorie needs. The more hours slept, the fewer calories needed. And women need more calories at certain times of the month than at others.

Seasonal Eating

Water, carbohydrates, proteins, and fats are the basic building blocks of a good diet. By choosing the healthiest forms of each of these nutrients, and eating them in the proper balance, you enable your body to function at its optimal level.

Eating well simply means eating a variety of foods that include sufficient amounts of protein, fruits, vegetables, complex carbohydrates, water and calcium. You can fulfill your daily requirements by eating the proper amounts of these foods above. It is also just as important to reduce your daily intake of saturated fat. It is recommended that no more than 30 percent of your total daily calories comes from fat. This will help decrease your risk of developing high blood cholesterol, help your body burn calories faster, and will allow you to feel better and have more energy.

Food Choices For Seasonal Eating

When eating along with the season, there are two elements that should be taken into account. The "nature" of the food and the "flavor" of the food. The nature of the food refers to the foods innate temperature ie: cold, hot, warm, cool or neutral.

-Cold or cool natured foods have the affect of clearing heat, purging fire and removing toxic substances.

-Hot or warm natured foods will disperse cold and warm up the body?s interior.

-Neutral or mild natured foods are any food that is neither hot or cold.

In addition, food flavoring refers to the various tastes of sweet, salty, pungent, bitter and sour. Different flavors may affect the different organs? functions, and will have different actions. Save

-Sour taste is attributed to the liver and gall bladder, therefore adding sour foods in your diet during Spring can improve the liver?s function. Consider lemon, pear, plum and mangos.

-Sweet taste is attributed to the stomach and spleen, therefore adding sweet foods in your diet during the Late Summer months improve digestion. Consider natural sugars, cherry, chestnut and banana.

-Salty taste is attributed to the kidneys and bladder, therefore adding salty foods in your diet during the Winter months improve the function of the kidneys. Consider sea salt, kelp and seaweed.

-Pungent taste is attributed to the lungs and large intestine, therefore adding pungent foods in your diet during the Fall months improve lung function and peristalsis. Consider green onion, chive, clove, parsley and coriander.

-Bitter taste is attributed to the heart and small intestine, therefore adding bitter foods in your diet during the Summer months improve circulation. Consider asparagus, bitter gourd, wild cucumber, celery, coffee, grapefruit peel, hops, radish leaf, vinegar, wine.

Some foods have one flavor, but others may have two or three. The flavors of many foods are sometimes difficult to determine but often the predominant nature of the food has the greatest action. A good example of this would be beef having a sweet flavor, pork has a sweet/salty flavor and ginseng and pumpkin have a slightly bitter/sweet taste.

So, even the smallest of changes to your diet can make difference. The smaller the change, the greater the likelihood that you will stay with it, because making a change that you can live with is the key to a healthier, happier you.
