Formed in the shape of a cross, this amazing stone is beautiful and powerful on your altar or meditation space, around your neck or in your pocket. Represents four elements and joining of spirit with earth and ether (matter).

Canadian Fairy Stone

The fairy stones of Northern Canada were discovered by the Algonquin Indians when they came upon Canada’s second longest river during a hunting expedition. Looking strangely like biscuits, they named the river Harricana, which means “river of the biscuits“, in the Algonquin language. The stones soon adopted the name “fairy stones” as they proved over and over to be a lucky charm…

Spirit Quartz

Cactus Quartz AKA Spirit Quartz (also called Pineapple Quartz) these are crystals encrusted by a second generation of smaller crystals grown on the prism faces. Spirit quartz is the “stone of transitions”. It is an exceptional stone to use when working with dreams. They have used for astral projection or travel and by tribes for shamanic journeying and rebirthing.

Crackle Quartz

These stones are beautifully dyed clear quartz representing the metaphysical powers of clear quartz (the stone of power, clear insight and high vibrational energy) along with the power of their color! Each stone represents a particular “fairy realm” and coordinates with the color of each sacred place they are named after

Menalite Stone

Menalite or Goddess stone, is a silicate-calcium based stone that is most noted for its attention to the sacred feminine. It represents the innocence of maiden and the mother energies, particularly around those of fertility, menstruation and lactation are evident. It is also associated with the wise crone of wisdom, addressing menopause, the aging spirit and great knowledge.

A Little Bit of Magic

Much of the stories about fairies comes from the tellings of the Celts. Fairies are the medieval and post-medieval versions of the old Celtic “spirits of the place”.The Celtics held hills, forests, valleys and rivers as sacred. Even after being conquered by Rome and being converted by Christians, it was the Christians who implemented their stories, intertwined with these same places!

All though these stones have different metaphysical properties, what they all have in common is their spiritual, sacred or other worldly connections. They base their beliefs on the hopes and good intentions, positive dreams, good luck and protection. The power of positive thinking is no magic trick, but it doesn’t hurt to believe in the joys of everyday magic, miracles or the small things we should always be grateful for!

Sacred Bath

Cross stones and fairy stones are extremely good cleanser of energy in and around our lives. President Roosevelt carried a fairy stone with him in his jacket pocket for good luck. The Algonquin Indians used their fairy stones in rituals and seasonal blessings. Spirit quartz and crackle quartz are used as healing and meditation tools, while chiastolite is popular around Easter and Christmas.

These stones are good for all cleansing rituals! One can be placed in a bowl of water or in bath water (for detoxing and de-stressing) to ensure peaceful sleep and protects against nightmares, soothing anxiety issues. Add your stone to your bath water, You may want to add 15 drops of soothing lavender essential oil and 5 drops of clary sage and relax in your bath for 15-20 minutes.

Cleansing & Charging Your Stones

~ Cleansing a crystal is always a good idea to rid it of energies (negative or otherwise) that it may have picked up during handling and excessive use.

~ Charging a crystal is bringing its energy levels back up, after use and cleansing. Like re-charging a battery after it has lost its energy.  A great way to do this (and remind you that it is time to do so) is during a full moon.

The Power of Color

Color plays a major role in determining how your crystal can help you.  A crystal’s color is due to its combination of minerals, which give it it’s own personality.  It contributes in what attracts you to it.  The psychological aspects of color determine how a crystal’s healing properties work.
