Reiki Grid Sets

The Building Blocks of Creativity
Although it may seem that creativity can sometimes come out of nowhere, in truth, it comes from a deep well of self acquired knowledge, both conscious and unconscious. Creativity comes from combining our knowledge in new ways. That is why the creative process (although primarily a right brain/frontal lobe function) also emerges from our own unique knowledge and how we weave it together!
1. Often, in any situation, we must take the quiet time to be with ourselves to observe and define an idea. What is it I want to create? Start getting specific. Define your goal. Write it down. Give it parameters. Start with one image, idea, or objective. What am I going to do to get from point A to point B? Allow the answers to come to you in your quiet time.
2. Carry A Notebook around with you to jot down a thought or phrase that comes to mind. Creativity can happen at any time. So when the moment strikes, you have the opportunity to record the thought or creative genius.
3. Brainstorming: is a great technique used in generating creative ideas. Very affective when done in small groups, it's a stimulating way to get fresh ideas from different minds. Start by suggesting a topic or goal. "What healing product is needed in our spa?" "Which technique should we market for the holidays?" This is the foundation from which you and your group will start building ideas. With one suggestion, start building on top of that.
4. Word Association: These are words or statements that can be said or written in order to stimulate the mind into digging deeper into our well of knowledge. Associating words in a brainstorm session, can open up a whole new path. This method takes a list of words and then builds an association between other key words on the list. Once an original word has been chosen, the next person will find a word they associate with it. The next person must then do the same with the previous word. Word association can be done on your own as well. Open a book or dictionary and randomly choose a word. Then begin formulating associated words or ideas using this key word. You'll be amazed how well this works.
5. Take An Unfocused Approach: As you have probably experienced in the past, sometimes the harder you try to be creative, the least creative you are. Perhaps not trying to hard is one way to tap into the subconscious. I find dream journaling can be an insightful approach to listening to what you forebrain has to say. Suggesting a topic to yourself before bed is one way to "sleep on it". In the morning, recall your dreams. Even if they are images or colors or words.... jot them down first thing in the morning upon waking. Then go back to it later. See if something comes of it.
6. Wander: Take a trip. Walk around the block, through your neighborhood or through a park. Head to the sea, the hills or a mountain trail. There is a concept (and herbal formula) in Chinese culture referred to as the Free and Easy Wanderer. Walking or simply wandering often allows us to clear our head and free our minds. This allows for the free flow of movement, vital energy or Qi and is extremely therapeutic.
7. Incorporate Mind Games: Some of the best ways to engage your brain is by using your memory functions! Individuals who are always learning something new about the world, maintaining a playful spirit, and find creativity to flow easier than their sedentary counterparts. Challenge your mind and memory function. By exercising your brain, it provides inspiration and fills your mind with information that allows you to make creative connections easily.
8. Avoid Doing Drugs: Drugs cloud your mind, impair judgement and diffuses motor function. People on drugs think they are creative. To everyone else, they seem like people on drugs.
9. Educate Yourself: Learn as much as you can about everything possible. Fill your brain with inspiration, excitement and passions that interested you. Understand how to incorporate the information you learn into your own creative spin.
10. Take Everything One Day At A Time: Sometimes situations can become overwhelming when looking at the big picture. Again, take your quiet time to observe the moment. Do some soul searching. Allow yourself to take all the time, take the space that you need to grasp your creative genius. Trust the Universe. It is within you!

Creativity is accessed through a stimulus. It is important to embrace the transition! Learn to recognize strengths you may have overlooked and use them in the creative process. Embrace optimism and compel yourself forward. Honor the creative endeavor, which you are transforming into. Here are some tools for stimulating creativity:
1.Visualization and Guided Imagery: Picturing yourself as the person who is creative, successful and a fountain full of ideas, is the key to revealing your own mastery. It is a fact that creative people see themselves as creative giving themselves creative freedom. Those who feel they are not creative people, do not allow themselves to be creative and do not give themselves the opportunity to create anything new. Energy follows thought. When you program your thoughts to reflect your wishes, you tend to put your energy into making it so. The mind can be the most helpful tool in the way we desire to live our lives and create what we want to create. If you can believe it, you can achieve it.
2. Music: Music is the great motivator. Music empowers our spirit and can give us the create spark to grow, realize who we are and even give our ideas wings. Music as a creative building block is as individual as we are. Find the music that gives you passion. The passion to grow. Let music inspire you, lift you up and find your voice. Music works on the Entrainment Theory. The beat of the music aligns with our heart and body rhythm. Slower music gives us time for reflection, inspiration and introspection. Faster music moves us, motivates us and pushes us forward. Use music to create more creativity in your life.
3. Meditation: is a time-honored technique that can take you into infinite dimensions of consciousness. It is a simple effort that becomes effortless as we do it more and more. One major principle to meditation is the ability to completely quiet your mind. Use meditation as a tool for finding, exploring and making your creativity known.
4. Crystals: have the ability to guide, educate and bring us energy. These tools of the earth, often made up of the same trace minerals that are in our own organic bodies, can resonate with our physical and etheric energy bodies on many levels. Consider carrying some crystals with you. Try a grid make from crystals. Use them to stimulate power centers in and around the body. These "tools" can be used to bring out, encourage and enrich your creative process.
5. Pendulums: are thought to amplify both body energy and thoughts. It can assist in the creation of power, clarity of thinking, meditation, spiritual development and healing. The pendulum is considered a communication device between the conscious and the subconscious mind. They have the ability to access our intuitive capacities. Learning to use a pendulum is like learning any other skill. It requires time, determination, trust, balance and persistent practice. Yet it is one of the best tools for tapping into the creative mind.
6. Candle Therapy: can be used to unite the powers of mind, body, and spirit. The candle's flame has always been a metaphor for the soul! It possesses a tranquil and almost hypnotic atmosphere to those who allow its power to take them to a very special place. A candle acts as a "self object". A self object is an object that is a reflection of our self, a reflection upon which we can act. The candle reflects the changes we would like to bring about in ourselves through our intentions.
7. Scent Therapy: works by sending fragrant messages to the brain using your sense of smell. A scent stimulates the olfactory nerve and encourages the brain to respond in a certain way. Scents can be used to stimulate creativity, encourage productivity and invite conversation. Essential oils can restore balance and harmony to your body and to your life. Aromatherapy can be experienced through several mediums. Essential oils are the purest form from flowers, barks and herbs, used in incense, candles and aromatherapy products. Essential oils associated with stimulating creativity include
clary sage, neroli, rose and rosewood.
8. Tuning in to any energy is the ability to quiet the mind, allowing your inner self, or intuition, to perceive truth. By practicing this art, we develop a sensitivity toward inner information and the ability to condition our mind to listen on a much more subtle level. This "tuning in" can give us the ability to sense energy and actually
perceive on an even more subconscious plane. Techniques are vast and varied, all of which, can be used in calming and clearing the mind, therefore, achieving clearer perception.
9. Color Therapy: is a set of principles used to create harmonious color and color combinations for healing. This form of energy medicine is based on the belief that the human body is composed of energy fields. When the energy is properly distributed and circulating freely, the body is healthy. Imbalances or abnormal amounts of energy are believed to indicate an excess or deficiency. Orange is the color used when there is an issue with blocked experiences in life, including a decrease in personal creativity. Consider using yellow if there are problems with decision making, burn out or poor concentration.
10. Feng Shui (pronounced Fung Shway) is the ancient Chinese art of placement to enhance the flow of "vital life energy" known as Qi. Practitioners believe that rooms, buildings and all environments can be arranged and decorated in a way that maximizes the flow of Qi and, resulting in improvements to health and happiness of those who live in that environment. When an area, office, home or room is divided into "areas" the West is the area most associated with children and creative impulses. This is the area you nurture in order to "give birth" to your dreams. The element associated with creativity is wood and the season is spring.

Innovation is applied creativity. the term is often used to refer to the entire process by which an individual or organization generates creative new ideas and converts them into novel, useful and viable creations!
Skills are used on a regular basis they become almost automatic and we can draw from them whenever needed. Without skills we can envision a unique quilt, painting or poem but will not be able to bring the dream to life. The key: learn in a way that builds on prior knowledge and directly confronts deeply held misconceptions.
The more knowledgeable and skilled we become the higher our expectations become. So it is vital that we continue to grow in our field of creativity in order to thrive in it. The key: learn and understand how integrated knowledge, which shows how each concept is connected to other concepts, can apply to what you want to create.
Memory function also brings forth creative spark! The key: understand your creative subject on a much deeper concept, not memorization of superficial facts. Take time to understand some of the minutia that has meaning to you. You will be suprised how you recall it when the time is appropriate. The other procedure that helps us bring information back from our long term memory is by association.
Innovation today is a continuous process of small and constant change, and it�s built into the culture of successful realizations from paper to fruition. Willingness to take risks with ideas can result in an innovation. Ideas are useless unless used. The proof of their value is only in their implementation.
Therefore, by using tools such as memory recall, using your deep rooted knowledge, unfocused time, focused effort and the synthesis of knowledge and skills, are the key ingredients to carry through from an idea to innovation.
A Creative Journal is a book or record you create to chart progress, make steps to follow and create a journey to building self-confidence. It can be used for writing down experiences you have, words that give you power and help you to work toward your success! This journal ia a good place to record your information so that you can go back and look at later.
Tips for Creative Journaling
1. Inspiring creativity to come is about finding balance. Upon waking, pick up your journal and write down a goal for the day. Commit yourself to doing one thing that will take you out of your comfort zone today.
2. It is a good idea to focus on one specific thing that will bring about change today, no matter how awkward it may feel. Be focused.
3. Determination is the key element you must apply to see your goal through today. Be determined.
4. Jot down an affirmation that you will repeat throughout the day "I am willing to take the risk", "I am proud of myself and will extend my pride even further today", "I will achieve my new goal today".
5. Allowing the creative process to unfold is the sign of a confident person. You can achieve this by having faith in what you choose to set as your goal.
6. Having faith in your abilities is trusting your heart's desire. And no one can deny your heart's desire.
7. Take a look at your creative process. Are you pro-active? Write down each idea. Now, one by one, as you go on your journey, use these as a check list you will think about.
8. Take a look at your positive attributes. These are your strengths you will use as tools to take you further and create your new idea.
9. Reflect on your past successes. Use these as stepping stones in order to reach your goal. You have done it before and you will do it again. This is bringing creativity to innovation.
10. As you inspire yourself and become innovative, you inspire innovation in others. This natural progression is one of the most rewarding gifts you can receive.

This chakra represents the movement of the spark upwards to the Throat Chakra in order to be expressed on the outside.
 The Throat Chakra, located at the throat at the notch above the clavicle, is about creative expression. Using your "voice", be it physical or through your fine art, paintings, body as with a dancer or actor or even writing. Any form of creative expression is released from the Throat Chakra.
